I know this is the band everyone loves to hate, and I can't figure out why. I love them and listen to them in my car all the time. And this song is AWESOME.
Okay, sorry LisaPie, but as soon as I clicked on the link and saw who it was, I actually said out loud, "No, no, no, no." And came back here. But, that's me. You know how judgmental I am about music.
It's funny, though. I've kind of gotten a reputation to be the go-to girl when it comes to making Ipod playlists for people. And yes, I will load someone up with Nickelback or Miley if they ask for it. But, one night we were having friends over and I had on one of my party playlists over the speakers. One of our friends was dissing my song selections which shocked me, bc my playlists are usually big hits. I asked him what type of music he would like to listen to and he said Nickelback.
It explained everything.
He came over last night. As soon as he walked in the door, my husband put on the Nickelback and we had a good laugh and some good wine.
You know? I lose more people when I tell them I like Nickelback. I don't know why they are so contentious. I realize all their songs sound the same. Lots of bands get their "sound" and stick with it and you can pick them out after about 4 notes. So I don't think that's it.
I just like 'em and I especially like them for driving and singing along. But my musical tastes are all over the map.
