Lots of people (I almost typed "folks", and caught myself because that is one of those words people over-use that irritate the beejeezus out of me. All politicians say folks when they are trying to pretend to be one of the people rather than a rich person who has never been just one of the "folks" they are elected to represent) say we should just pick one direction to go with Daylight Savings Time and leave it there. That always leaves the proponents of the other time pissed off. Here is my grand idea to make everyone happy, including myself: Move the clock just half an hour and LEAVE IT THERE! Quit screwing with people's internal clocks! No one likes this. What would be wrong with just going halfway and meeting in the middle and then we are all happy?
I love my half hour meet in the middle plan. It is genius in it's simplicity. If only the folks in my district would elect me I would implement this.

ReplyDeleteWhen I lived in Phoenix, where they did not do DST, I never noticed it being any darker or lighter or anything. Life was just fine without doing DST.
