End of May Tea Hoarding Report

Doesn't that tea shelf unit thing look nice and organized? Mine is similar, but I have those stairstep things that sit on your shelves so that the back stuff is higher than the front stuff and you can actually see what is back there and use it! Can you tell that that is leading in to say that there is still oodles, gobs, pletheras and hosts of teas in my pantry? (By the by, those are all words used in the obits about how many friends and relatives the deceased has) You gotta love an obit that uses the word "oodles", don't you? :)

Back to the tea - yep, here we are at the end of month 5 and I STILL have not run low, run out or bought more tea. I have bought tea, just not for me. I bought tea for my husband to drink and I bought some to take to my sister's house. That's just something we do when we visit each other. As far as tea for me and my very own consumption, nope I am still using up the old stuff.

Not really much to report. I could just cut and paste the last couple of month's reports and used them. Maybe I won't bother doing this again until there is something to talk about?

Back to your regularly scheduled programming . . . .

  1. How about you Count the boxes or the bags even. That way you can concretely see that the pile of tea IS going down, even if it doesn't look like it now. It might give you hope that you can get this monster tamed.lol

  2. That's a great point. I have noticed that I am using a bit from each package rather than just finishing one off and moving to the next. I probably have 20 containers with less than 5 tea bags in each.

And today for the first time I surfed around on 2 of my favorite tea websites. Bad Bad LisaPie!!! No new teas for me yet.

  3. tea does get old, just like spices . . . what if you donated ALL your tea to a women's shelter,or some such organization, and bought yourself ONE or TWO fresh, fresh boxes of your very, very, very favorites????? I just did that with my spices, pantry items and freezer -- I know someone else is using up and enjoying my stuff right now!
